The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Poweris just a few days away from its premiere, meaning Amazon has released possibly the final trailers ahead of the show’s release to remind fans of the type of action they can expect to see.

The last two trailers were shared jointly by the official Prime Video andLord of the Ringsseries' social media accounts, with the first of these showcasing a bit of the might of Sauron’s army as Galadriel tries to warn others ins Middle-earth of the incoming evil threat. As for the second preview, that one focuses on providing a better glimpse at the different environmentswhere theRings of Powerplot will unfold, as well as its vast cast of characters.

There are plenty of orcs, dwarfs, and other-wordly creatures to be seen in both clips. However, unlike past teasers, these two feature more action sequences that confirm there will be plenty of fighting in this first 8-episode season, while also letting some of the musical score shine. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Powerpremieres in September, although the studio has signaled its intent to screen the series’ first two episodes in select movie theaters in several countries, two days ahead of the official streaming release. The United Kingdom, Ireland, Argentina, Colombia, Australia and New Zealand join the United States and Canada in that privilege.

Another key takeaway is how massive this new Middle-earth looks in the trailers. This is no wonder considering the reported one billion dollar budget Amazon has allocated for making the series, an unprecedented figure for streaming or television that will certainly raise the bar for theLord of the Ringsprequel. Still, that won’t stop the trailers from receiving a poor dislike-to-like ratio on YouTube,an issueRings of Powerhas facedfrom the very start.

Unlike Peter Jackson’s highly-acclaimedLord of the Ringstrilogy or his less favoredThe Hobbitadaptation,Rings of Poweris not based on any particular work written by J.R.R. Tolkien. Instead, the show will borrow elements from different texts, taking fans back a thousand years before Tolkien’s fabled stories. This further creative license has caused a certain divide among theLord of the Ringsfandom, with some welcomingRings of Powerbut a seemingly louder crowd rejecting the show from the get-go.

Funnily enough, Jackson was excluded fromRings of Power, which is no surprise given Tolkien’s heirs are no fans of hisLOTRfilms. IftheHouse of the Dragonpremiereis anything to go by, this prequel may stand a chance of matching its predecessors.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Powerwill premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, starting June 12, 2025.
