Like with Teru’s character trailer, the minute-long video features a quick introduction of the character’s name and the voice actor who will be playing them, with Miyu Irino reprising his role from the first two seasons ofMob Psycho 100. Ritsu’s close relationship with and troubled admiration of his older brother Shigeo is the main focus, as the character’s frequent utterance of the phrase “nii-san” (older brother) rings incessantly throughout. Much like in Teru’s, a voice-over from various parts of the voice actor’s performance over the course of the series can be heard, as the events of the past two seasons get condensed into one quick, tell-all trailer.
Again, in similar fashion to Teru, Ritsu faces an unsurmountable internal crisis as a direct result of his exposure toMob’s incredible psychic powers. Having secretly wanted to have similar abilities to his brother, Ritsu struggles immensely before being manipulated and gaining some psychic power over the course of the first season.
Having nearly lost himself to his internalized anger against his brother and himself, the trailer reminds viewers of Ritsu’s journey towards understanding the irreconcilable differences between his life and his older brother’s.
