A new Tera Raid Battle Event was announced forPokemon Scarlet and Violet, featuring Garchomp, the Dragon/Ground pseudo-legendary, and Sylveon, the fairy evolution of Eevee. The limited time event will feature both Pokemon more frequently inPokemon Scarlet and Violet, allowing players to stock up on plentiful drops and difficult battles.Tera Raid Battle Events typically last a couple of days and feature one or two Pokemon with capable move sets in either four, five, or seven-star raids. Players can either enter theseTera Raid battles inPokemon Scarlet and Violetby either completing the game’s main story or by link code from a friend.RELATED:Weird Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Glitch Makes Mudbray Keep Appearing in Tera RaidsThe Pokemon Company and Game Freak announced its latest Tera Raid Battle Event which will feature both Garchomp and Sylveon, replacing theValentine’s Day Tandemaus Tera Raid Eventwhich had players taking down the mouse duo for item drops including food items for sandwich making. The event will take place from February 17 until February 19, giving players the opportunity to battle and capture Garchomp and Sylveon in many different Terastallized forms. Thankfully both Pokemon will be available in both versions of the game, allowingPokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers the chance to take down both Pokemon regardless of which copy they have.
This marks the eleventh Tera Raid Battle Event inPokemon Scarlet and Violet, which all started with Eevee in November 2022 days after the release of the game. It also marks the first event to feature a dragon Pokemon sinceHydreigon and Dragapult shared the Tera Raid spotlightearlier this year. Sylveon becomes the first fairy-type Pokemon to be included in this event and will be a solid candidate for players to use their recently-gifted Love Balls on, a pink Poke Ball with a heart design similar to the heart Tera given to fairy types. Each player inPokemon Scarlet and Violetreceived two Love Balls via Mystery Gift using the codeL0VEL0VEL0VEas part of its Valentine’s Day celebration.
Tera Raid battles are an excellent source of farming items such as experience candy, picnic items, and objects to sell like nuggets and pearls. Along with stocking up on a variety of battle items, players can collect high-powered Pokemon with unique move sets and different tera types which offer more flexibility in team creation. While players can also capture tera Pokemon in the wild during their journey through Paldea, nothing beats the excitement of pairing up with three players online andtaking down a Tera Raid Battleas a team.
