Here is why next week is going to be huge for FPS fans.

Destiny 2 30th Anniversary Celebration (December 7)
First up is theDestiny 230th Anniversary event, celebrating 30 years ofDestinydeveloper Bungie. There’s been some controversy about howDestiny 2players have to pay to access the new content coming with the 30th Anniversary pack, but diehardDestinyfans are likely still excited to see what next week has in store, and hopefully it’s enough to keep Guardians busy until theWitch Queenexpansion launches in February.
One of the main draws of theDestiny 230th Anniversary pack is a brand new dungeon inspired by the famousCosmodrome loot cave. Those who manage to make their way through the new dungeon will be rewarded for their efforts, able to get their hands on the new Thorn armor and much more.

Destiny 2players can also look forward to thereturn of the Gjallarhorn, one of the most popular rocket launchers from the firstDestiny. The 30th Anniversary pack includes a brand new Exotic quest forDestiny 2players to complete that will allow them to unlock the Gjallarhorn as their reward, and they can then complete the catalyst requirements to make the weapon that much more powerful.
There’s a lot more forDestiny 2fans to look forward to with the 30th Anniversary event next week, though they’ll have to wait for the event to go live before they’ll truly know the full scope of what it will entail.
Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Map Caldera (December 8)
Call of Duty: Warzonewas originally supposed to launch its new Pacific map Caldera on December 2, but plans changed at the last minute. Activision made the decision to push theCaldera mapback to December 8, and soCall of Dutyfans have a lot to look forward to next week.
When the Pacific map launches, it willcompletely replace the existingCall of Duty: WarzoneVerdansk map, giving fans of the battle royale a brand new arena to battle it out on. Players will able to explore Caldera to their hearts' content while attempting to be the last squad standing, and while the new map is clearly the biggest change coming toWarzonenext week, it’s bringing with it some smaller, but nevertheless noteworthy changes as well.
For example, theCall of Duty: WarzoneGulag is getting revamped with the Pacific map, so that now when players win their 1v1 battles, they respawn with the weapons they were using instead of just the starter pistol.Call of Duty: Warzoneloadouts are also getting tweakedwith Caldera’s launch, so that now players aren’t able to purchase a loadout drop until after the first free one appears on the map. This should dramatically change the early minutes of any givenWarzonematch, as now players will have to use the weapons they’ve looted longer.
Halo Infinite Launch (December 8)
New content in popular FPS games likeCall of Duty: WarzoneandDestiny 2is great, but the most exciting FPS development happening next week is easily the long-awaited launch ofHalo Infinite. TheHalo Infinitemultiplayer betahas been available for a couple of weeks now and has earned rave reviews in terms of its core gameplay (progression complaints aside), and hype is high for the launch of the campaign.
TheHalo Infinitecampaignis going to be quite the departure from the norm while simultaneously takingHaloback to its roots. 343 Industries is taking a huge risk with the more open world design thatHalo Infiniteuses, and it will be interesting to see if it all pays off. Fans will find out when the game launches on December 8.
