AndyB explained to fans that the team working on the upcoming sequel knows that they are waiting for more information but doesn’t have anything to announce right now. This upsets a lot ofpeople looking forward toOverwatch 2as they feel that the team needs to improve on its communication and give more updates if it does not want to loseOverwatchplayers' trust. Understanding this, AndyB also said that the team hopes that when it does announce more, it’ll regain the lost trust of those that no longer have faith in it.

It’s good to know that the team working onOverwatch 2is aware of the concerns that fans of the original game have. This will hopefully result in the team giving the fans what they have been wanting by revealing more information on the game sooner rather than later instead of announcing tournaments that they don’t care about as much. Some fans even feel that theupcoming season of theOverwatchLeague, which is expected to begin on May 5, should be delayed untilOverwatch 2’s release so that there aren’t too many changes made at once.

While fans feel that their patience and trust have been tested over the past year, some are understanding of the situation and thanked AndyB for not staying silent on the issue. Feeling that there is such little communication going on, they were glad to get a response, even if what AndyB had to say didn’t give them much to look forward to.

Some fans have also made it clear in the replies to AndyB’s statement that they would like to know whentheOverwatch 2teamwill be ready to announce more information, that way they can at least get a bit of news rather than feeling like they are in the dark completely. With little information onOverwatch 2so far, there are even some fans concerned that the game will not meet up to their initial expectations. Hopefully, whenOverwatch 2does finally release, players will be pleased by the game and their faith in the team will be restored.

Overwatch 2is currently in development.
