During the AMA Reddit thread,Overwatch 2revealed information about these hero changes, as well as some others coming to the FPS. Cassidy’s controversial Magnetic Grenade is changing once again into a short-ranged hindering explosive in Season 11.Reaper’s rework inOverwatch 2may take longer to release, but will seemingly involve adjustments to Shadow Step, plus other buffs that don’t directly improve his ability to take down tanks. Nerfs for Roadhog’s survivability are also imminent, and could arrive as early as the day after the Reddit discussion.

Beyond these confirmed changes,Overwatch 2revealed several heroes with possible adjustments coming in the future. The developers discussed addressing the friction between Lifeweaver’s offense and defense, and proposed a potential buff for allies standing on his Petal Platform.Overwatch 2’s Mercy may see some much-needed buffsto her mobility, while Symmetra could have her survivability or damage increased to make her a bigger frontline threat. Hanzo, on the other hand, could get an indirect buff in the form of certain high-damage heroes having their health pools brought into his headshot range once more.

The struggle to balance heroes inOverwatch 2is a never-ending one, but it sounds like some fan-favorite characters might have some big changes coming soon. That said, beyond those for Cassidy and Roadhog, there is no timetable for the other adjustments, so they may not see some ofthese changes untilOverwatch 2Season 11at the latest.
