The Reaper Cloth in thePokemonseries has been around for quite some time. This Held Item inPokemon Brilliant DiamondandPokemon Shining Pearlcan be given to any Pokemon on the team to hang on to but it will have no effect on them whatsoever unless it’s given to a specificGhost-type Pokemon that can be caught in this iteration of the Sinnoh region.

Before Getting the Reaper’s Cloth

BeforePokemon Brilliant DiamondandShining Pearlplayers can get their hands on the cloth, they will first need to gain access to the island called the Battle Zone in the northeastern corner of the map, containing multiple areas to explore, such as theSurvival Area, the Fight Area, and the Resort Area. Unfortunately, players won’t be able to come here until they beat the Elite Four and Champion Cynthia.

Once that’s done, players can travel to the Battle Zone from the ferry in Snowpoint City. Players should make their way to the Resort Area to get one step closer to the Reaper’s Cloth.

What is Reaper’s Cloth Used For?

The Reaper’s Cloth is only used to evolve one Pokemon in thePokemonuniverse and that is the Ghost-type Dusclops. After giving Dusclops the Reaper Cloth to hold, it will evolve into Dusknoir, but only when the Dusclops istraded to another player. It might be in the best interests of players to find a friend online to trade with, so they will be courteous enough to give the Pokemon back after trading. A random trainer might not cooperate as easily.
