Meanwhile, the Pokemon community is eagerly waiting for the release ofhighly anticipatedPokemon Scarlet and Violet, which are scheduled to launch in the coming months. While they wait, fans spend more time on previous titles from the franchise, likePokemon Sword and ShieldandPokemon Legends: Arceus.
On the other hand, one section of the community spends their hours creating impressive artwork dedicated to their favorite pocket monsters. As the release date forPokemon Scarlet and Violetgets closer, more people are coming up with fan art related to upcoming Pokemon. Onefan art shows Lechonk and Sprigatito together, while another shows a shiny version of Quaxly. Despite the popularity of Generation 9 Pokemon, fans' admiration for the original Generation 1 Pokemon is unrivaled, as seen by a Twitter post that has recently gained new attention online.

Twitter user CaelKillara uploaded an image on the social media platform showing a “real-life” version of a famous Generation 1 Pokemon, Pidgey. The image shows a bird resting on a person’s hand and a phone showing a photo of Pidgey for comparison. Surprisingly, the bird in the picture shows a striking resemblance to Pidgey, who is aflying-type Pokemon. The said avian creature also has a plump body with brown and cream-colored feathers. Moreover, the shape of its beak and eye position are comparable to Pidgey’s.
The post soon went viral among thePokemoncommunity and was retweeted more than ten thousand times and received more than 33,000 likes. Most people praised the original poster for their incredible luck finding a real-life version of Pidgey, while others posted hilarious GIFs. In contrast, some people discussed the possible species of the bird in question, with most of them agreeing that it’s a sparrow. One person pointed out the irony of Pidgey being named after a pigeon instead of a sparrow that it so closely resembles.

They are known for navigating back to their nests irrespective of the distance traveled. Pidgeys are abundant and can be found in meadows and temperate forests.
