A creativePokemonfan has recently shared the short animation they produced, featuring Arbok and Primeape, two pocket creatures from the Kanto region. Though not the mostpopular Pokemon from Gen 1, fans who love these specific Pokemon will probably enjoy seeing them being the main focus of such an amazing fan-made animation.

Despite thefirst generation ofPokemongamesbeing 27 years old, there is no doubt about its influence in current games. Though not all the Gen 1 pocket creatures are featured in the newer titles, some popular ones are still included in the latest region’s Pokedex. What’s more, The Pokemon Company continues to utilize them in official events, merchandise, and collaborations. Seeing how fans still showcase their love for Gen 1 Pokemon to this day is probably something that the company hoped to achieve when it first came out with the video games in Japan back in 1996.

On Reddit, user I_FOUND_YOU_FAKER posted a shortPokemonanimation they created featuring an intense fight between Arbok and Primeape. In the video, the battle takes place in the wild, with both pocket creatures standing off in front of each other. Fans will likely appreciate the details in the animation, especially how they made Arbok and Primeape’s movement incredibly realistic, according to their characteristics in the game and animated series. Unfortunately, the video ends without showing which of the two Pokemon win the fight.

FellowPokemonfans will also probably recognize that otherKanto region pocket creaturessuch as Metapod, Bellsprout, Jigglypuff, Squirtle, and the iconic Electric-type Pikachu are on the sidelines, watching the whole battle unfold. Those on the Reddit thread appreciated the representation of Primeape in the animation, and others also pointed out that Arbok made an interesting move during the fight, allowing it to escape the clutches of its enraged enemy. Overall, it seems that the Pokemon community is thoroughly impressed by the artist’s animation work, and would probably like to see more in the future.

Unfortunately, the video is quite short and does not provide its viewers with closure about the fight betweenPoison-type Cobra Pokemon Arbokand Fighting-type Primeape. The animator does have their social media channels shared at the end of the footage, giving fans a way to update themselves if they want to see more work from this artist. Hopefully they still share their animated pieces later, especially if they are ones inspired by thePokemonfranchise and its vast number of pocket creatures.
