Can Tyrunt be Shiny in Pokemon GO?

Yes. For the first time inPokemon GOhistory, Tyrunt and Tyrantrum’s blue-colored shiny variants can be encountered. And for a little extra treat, anyhatched Tyrunt or Amaura from 7 km eggs are more likely to be shiny, giving players another chance at getting the uncommon species.

And plus,PoGoplayerscan look forward to a special Collection Challenge during the Adventure Week event that ends with Tyrunt and Amaura encounters. Two Field Research Tasks will also reward trainers with encounters with the fossil Pokemon.

How to Evolve Tyrunt into Tyrantrum

In the regularPokemongames, trainers canevolve their Tyrunt into Tyrantrumby raising it to level 39 during the daytime. The method to evolve it inPokemon GOis mostly the same; however, instead of increasing its power, trainers will, of course, have to have Tyrunt Candy. Using 50 Tyrunt Candy during the day will make the Pokemon evolve. Conversely, Amaura will need 50 Candy, but it can only evolve into Aurorus during the nighttime.

For more information onhow the day and night cycle works inPokemon GO, feel free to refer to our dedicated strategy guide.

Whenever players encounter Tyrunt as a spawn, make sure to use Pinap Berrieswhen possible. This will double the number of Candy received after catching Tyrunt, making it a little easier to evolve it into Tyrantrum. Also, players can set Tyrunt as their Buddy to earn Candy while walking or they can even transfer any Tyrunt duplicates to get even more Candy into their pockets.
