Several talentedCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarZombies players have been working to reach Round 935, the mode’s highest possible round. Unfortunately, most have been plagued with crashes and technical issues, with a power outage being the latest cause for aCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warplayer’s failed attempt.
Recently, the streamer Insomnia Virus had theirworld record Mauer Der Toten runended by some major technical issues. Unfortunately, though, Insomnia Virus was not the only one impacted by things that are out of their control. The current world record holder, TheOfficialKHF, had their run ended due to the game freezing and the Zombies overrunning them. However, Cerealnac’s failed run may be the most tragic of all.

WhileCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s issuesare well known, making freezing unfortunate but somewhat expected, power outages are an entirely different story. Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened during Cerealnac’s latest run. In the player’s recent stream, they can be seen using the power room strategy. Buying War Machines and using Ring of Fire, the player is constantly gunning down the undead, flying through the lengthy rounds as fast as they possibly can. However, out of nowhere, the stream comes to an end.
As indicated by the stream title, a sudden power outage is to be blamed for the failed run. While this would be tragic for any Zombies player, the fact that Cerealnac was at round 769 makes it especially devastating. Not only were they less than 100 rounds away from setting a new world record, buy they were also on the way to hitting the coveted Round 935. Withthe CRBR-S Wonder Weaponin hand, and the strategy mastered, they likely would have set the record. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be.
Losing over three days of progress is devastating, as the streamer spent dozens of hours trying to leave their mark onCall of DutyZombies history. While it would have been sad if they failed due to their own slip-up, it is always much more frustrating when players have no power over what happens. What makes this moment crazier is that the player had also had a power outage at Round 325, something that makes it seem like they are cursed with bad luck. Still, CerealNac does not seem to be deterred, as they are on Round 230 in their latest run.
With the new stream jokingly titled “road to a flawless power outage,” at least they are able to laugh about the incidents. Hopefully, the third time will be the charm for theCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warplayer, as it would be great to see them overcome these technical issues.
