Prince of Persia: The Lost Crownis much different from the previous installments in thePrince of Persiafranchise. Instead of taking control of the prince, inThe Lost Crown, players will take control of Sargon, one of the Immortals sent on a mission to rescue Prince Ghassan.
Before players start their adventure, they will have the option to make about how they would like to experience the game.Since Mount Qaf andits adjoining areas are huge, picking the wrong mode can severely affect the playthrough. To counter this problem,Ubisoft has added two modes: Guided and Exploration. But which one should you choose while playingPrince of Persia: The Lost Crown?

Guided Mode In The Lost Crown
As the name suggests, theGuided Modehas been created for thosewho do not like getting lost in open areas. WhileThe Lost Crownmaybe a Metroidvania-style game, players will have to journey to many different areas. Each biome has tons of mysteries and locked doors that won’t be available to explore initially. It is safe to say that there are too many of these places, so it is impossible to remember them all.
The Guided Mode forThe Lost Crowngives players a well-labeled map, allowing them to see points of interest. Once players find new items, they will have an easier time exploring. The Guided Mode displays the location of the next objective and shows available and blocked paths. Clearly, the Guided Mode is betterfor players who want to enjoy the game withouthaving to remember every single thing.

Exploration Mode In The Lost Crown
In comparison to the other mode, the Exploration Mode only has minimal details on the map. By selecting this option, players will have to be more thorough in their playthroughs. They can’t count on the map to show them the direction of the next objective. The Exploration ModeofThe Lost Crownismeant forplayers who don’t want any help in the playthrough.
Guided Or Exploration? Which Mode To Choose?
While the answer vastly depends on the preferences of players, for most, Guided Mode is the best option. The game itself is long, and it can sometimes be confusing for gamers. However, if you do end up selecting a particular mode and want to change it, the game gives you the freedom to do so.
Simply pause the game, go to System, and then Options. If you have enabled the Guided Mode, there will be a checkmark against it.Press on it to enable Exploration Mode. If you started with the Exploration Mode, follow the same steps, and after successfully enabling it, a checkmark should appear next to Guided Mode.
