Personalized gaming hardware is extremely popular right now and there’s been a push in recent years for collectible merchandise based around different gaming properties. Xbox Games Studio Rare is getting the best of both worlds with the company’s brand new table that looks exactly like the customSea of ThievesXbox controller.
Posted on Twitter by user @jimsyjampots as well as by @RareLTD, the pictures of theSea of ThievesXbox controller coffee table showcase just how unique the item actually is. The table captures the aesthetic of the controller with a striking amount of accuracy to the point where it could be mistaken for the real thing at a glance if it weren’t so glossy and didn’t have anything around to reference its scale.

According to the post, Rare commissioned the table from Twitter user @MindTheMaker who only started their craft 15 months ago to help cope with their PTSD. Based on their Instagram profile (@Mind_the_Maker), this isn’t the craftsman’s first gaming-related project as they’ve made things such as a Game Boy table andotherSea of Thievesitems.
One interesting detail that made it onto the table is that it also features the dual hippocampi that are crossing their horns on the controller’s battery cover. Just like on thecustomSea of Thievescontroller, the two hippocampi are featured on the bottom side of the table making for a fun easter egg-style detail for the people using the table at Rare. In addition to the hippocampus details on the back of the table, it also features one golden trigger on the side and back, matching the controller almost completely.
Xbox has been offering custom controllers for its IPs for quite some time and most recently announced that two newHalocontrollers would be made available alongside the release ofHalo Infinite. Although they were only offered in limited quantities, the Master Chief Elite 2 controller features a design similar to the Spartan’s green armor and the other custom controller comes bundled withthe limited-editionHalo InfiniteSeries X console.
WhileSea of Thieveshasn’t gotten a custom controller sinceXbox made the switch to the Series X-style controller, there are still plenty ofSea of Thieves-themed Xbox One controllers available for purchase from different online retailers, however, they’re mostly used and cost more than their original prices. Hopefully, Xbox does something forSea of Thievesfans soon as the game has been more popular than ever and is still constantly receiving updates and new seasonal content.
Sea of Thievesis available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
