In an episode of Capcom TV, translated from Japanese to English by ResetERA, theResident Evil 3development team has answered some questions about the remake. The Hunter enemies are a mix of human and reptile DNA and they can deal damage with their claws. They can attack the player character’s legs, torso, or chop their head off. The Hunters are one of the more successful Umbrella Corporation experiments, the Hunter Betas are aResident Evil enemygone wrong. The Hunter Betas also have a lower attack power compared to the Hunter Alphas. It’s unclear how the Resident Evil 3 remake development team will be changing this and if the Hunter Betas' attack style will completely change or if the enemy will just do more powerful attacks.
The changes to the Hunters aren’t the only changes toResident Evil 3that fans should expect in the remake. There have also been suggestions that the game could have an expanded story. The Resident Evil 3 remake announcement trailer seems to suggest that fans will get a bigger look at Raccoon City and how it fell than they did whenResident Evil 3was released. The Hunters could also be part of this as they were sent to Raccoon City so that Umbrella Corporation could find to way to make a better, more powerful Hunter.
Some fans are also wondering if theResident Evil 3remake couldfeature aResident Evil 2character. If the character did show up in the game then it may fit in the timeline of when he and Jill Valentine met and this could be in the game. Resident Evil 3 is a hugely popular game, but fans seem to be happy with the rumored changes. Capcom will likely confirm more of this information before the game releases in April 2020.
