Staying true to the original 2005 release, the remake ofResident Evil 4does have some pretty punishing bosses that Leon Kennedy must face, and some captured footage of a glitch shows exactly how much health Verdugo has. With Dambuster’sDead Island 2just around the corner, and currently receiving some pretty decent reviews from critics, the horror genre continues to grow in 2023, whether it’s due to new releases that have been long-awaited or a reimagining of classic titles.

Of course, Capcom’sREbrand has been going for decades, helping to influence the early days of survival horror and cementing its place in gaming history. One thing that makes the series so popular is its roster of mutated adversaries that present various challenges. Indeed, theremake ofResident Evil 4has some tricky bossesthat players must defeat. While they’re all difficult in their own ways, most players will be able to find a way to best them, but a video shows just how much health at least one of them has.

In a recent post on Reddit, user Lucienwmoon uploaded a clip from theirResident Evil 4playthrough, which shows them up against Verdugo, the reptilian-like boss that turns up in Chapter 10. However, a slight glitch occurs in which the enemy somehow become stuck in a stun lock, unable to move once Leon starts shooting at it. The interesting thing about this footage is that it demonstrates just how long it can take to bring down a boss, as the player, utilizing the Tommy Gun-inspired Chicago Gun with infinite ammo, begins to unload into the back of Verdugo. It takes a solid minute of uninterrupted firing before the beast is finally felled, the player having obviously seized their opportunity to exploit the glitch.

For those who haven’t played the remake yet, it is possible to getguns with infinite ammo inResident Evil 4, though a Chicago Gun with limitless bullets that Lucienwmoon uses in the clip is obtained after players finish the game with an A ranking on Professional Difficulty. It also demonstrates that if that’s how much it takes to bring down Verdugo with infinite ammo, then using a regular weapon is even more challenging.

As mentioned above,2023 is so far a great year for fans of horror gaming, with offerings from both the AAA and more independent studios. The remake ofResident Evil 4is just one way in which the genre is being kept alive and well, and there is still a lot more for fans to look forward to from this year alone.

TheResident Evil 4remake is available on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
