WhileMarvel’s Avengershas failed to catch on like Square Enix thought it would, the developers at Crystal Dynamics are hoping to breathe new life into the game through its post-launch expansions. The firstMarvel’s AvengersDLC is set to launch this week in the form of Operation: Kate Bishop - Taking A.I.M., while more heroes are planned for release throughout 2021. One such DLC hero is Black Panther, and while details have been scarce, the character’s voice actor may have leaked online.
Twitter user Miller has posted leakedMarvel’s Avengersaudio files online that are seemingly forBlack Panther. While the Black Panther voice actor forMarvel’s Avengershasn’t been confirmed in an official capacity at the time of this writing, fans believe that the voice sounds like Christopher Judge. Judge, for those who may not know, is the voice actor forKratosin the 2018God of Wargame. Judge also reprised the role of Kratos for the character’s recent appearance inFortnite.

Judge has decades of acting experience, and his video game work speaks for itself. While his best-known video game role is definitelyGod of War’s Kratos, Judge has also voiced characters in various other games over the years, including the massively popular MMORPGWorld of Warcraft.
TheMarvel’s AvengersBlack Panther DLC is still being kept quiet for the most part, outside of brief teases. Right now the focus is on theKate Bishop DLCcoming on December 8, which will be one of the game’s first real post-launch tests. Square Enix has taken huge losses onMarvel’s Avengersso far, so it will definitely be interesting to see if the Kate Bishop DLC is able to bring back some lapsed players or convince new people to pick up the game.
After the Kate Bishop DLC, fans can expect theMarvel’s AvengersHawkeye DLC to land at some point in 2021. Black Panther will likely come at some point after that, and eventually,Spider-Man DLCwill be added to the game as well. However, it should be noted that the Spider-Man DLC is exclusive toMarvel’s Avengersplayers on PlayStation platforms.
Besides new characters, 2021 will also see the launch of theMarvel’s Avengersnext-gen version. If the upgrades are significant enough, perhaps theMarvel’s Avengersnext-gen releasecould be what gives the game the shot in the arm it needs. Combined with the new character releases,Marvel’s Avengersfans should have a lot to look forward to next year.
Marvel’s Avengersis out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
