Upcoming Nintendo title and farming role-playing video gameRune Factory 3 Specialhas recently released a new video trailer that features the game’s marriage candidates. With marriage being one of thekey features of theRune Factoryseries, fans will likely enjoy the cute footage that gives each eligible bachelorette a few seconds under the spotlight.
Rune Factory 3 Specialis not the first remastered title in theRune Factoryseries. The fourth title in the farm RPG series,Rune Factory 4 Special, was remade and released in 2020, almost seven years after its original release date. Given the remaster’s success and seemingly positive reception by the gaming community, it is not surprising that Marvelous Entertainment is continuing the trend of updating itsolderRune Factorytitlesand optimizing them for current gaming platforms.

On the official YouTube channel of Marvelous Entertainment, the team released a new opening video forRune Factory 3 Special. The animated footage puts Micah,Rune Factory3 Special’s main protagonist, in the spotlight, alongside the marriage candidates of the game. Each of the eligible bachelorettes are given a few seconds of screen time, providing viewers with a preview of each character’s personality and role in the farm sim RPG. Given that there are 11 marriage candidates inRune Factory 3 Special, the video is almost two minutes long.
Unfortunately, XSEED Games, the North American publisher of Marvelous Entertainment, has not shared an English version of the game’s opening video on any of its official channels. It seems that the Japanese market still takes precedence for the development team. Japan has already gotten a release date for the title and the company has also announced severalRune Factory 3 Specialcollector editionsthat are possibly exclusive to the country. Nevertheless, fans are likely hoping to see the English version of the opening video soon, especially since it has already been released in Japanese channels.
With 2023 being the target release year ofRune Factory 3 Special, fans still have some waiting to do before they can play through the remastered title. An exact release frame has yet to be disclosed for the title, despite Japan already having an official launch date. Given that there was an almost seven-month gap between therelease ofRune Factory 4 Specialin Japan and North America, Western fans probably should expect the same amount of wait time untilRune Factory 3 Specialbecomes available in their region.
Rune Factory 3 Specialreleases on Switch in Japan on June 17, 2025, with the English version slated to be launched within 2023.
