Santa Monica Studio recently asked fans to share moments from theGod of Warfranchise that have been most memorable or remarkable to them. When asking this of fans, they have also provided a clip of Kratos unearthing his past with the reprisal ofthe twin Blades of Chaos. Notorious for the renowned hack-and-slash combat that the original series was known for, the Blades of Chaos are truly representative of how far the franchise has developed, and fans have since shared the moments that struck them the most.
Many moments shared from players are taken from thelatestGod of Warinstallment, which tracks since it has redefined the series entirely and has paved the way for a new direction that still manages to portray its past with exciting references and lore for dedicated fans. The Blades of Chaos, for example, are fascinating because they integrate a completely new weapon type intoGod of War’s latest installment with its own upgrade branches. Rather, KamabokoGonpaChiro’s most memorable moments were whenGod of Warfeatured a more “ruthless Kratos,” such as when Kratos beheads Helios, and hopes to see moments like thesereturn inGod of War: Ragnarok. Indeed, Kratos' more graphic and vengeful ordeals appear to be behind him now that he has reconciled some of his emotions while on a perilous journey with his conflicted son, Atreus.
Jardani Jovonovich Appreciator’s most shocking moment was when The Stranger, known later as Baldur, lands a punch on Kratos that sends him sailing over his tiny cabin home. Many cinematic sequences are peppered throughoutGod of War’s debut into Norse mythology, with Baldur’s introduction surely making a splash with how powerful he is compared to Kratos.
BecauseGod of War: Ragnarokis slated to conclude the relatively brief Norse mythology saga, it is exciting to see what surprisesGod of War’s future may holdwhen it transitions into its next myth.
God of War: Ragnarokis currently scheduled to release in 2022 for PS4 and PS5.
