Sifuwas released earlier this year in February, and its instant acclaim issued considerations for fans' favorite game of the year so far.Sifu’s technique-heavy brawlerhas since had important updates and patches that have improved critical features, such as Mandarin Chinese voice-overs and camera collision issues.
It was previously announced thatSifuwill receive a physical hard-copy release, the Vengeance Edition, with exclusive collectible memorabilia. This edition becomes available in May, but that is not the only content that the developer of the game, Sloclap, has cooked up for fans this May, as a new content update is set to drop then as well.Sifu’s developer has teased this content in earlier months, but the wait is nearly over to hear what lies ahead forSifuas its first exclusive skin is revealed.

Sifu’s first official cosmetic skin for its protagonist characters has been revealed as a flashy suit with a red button-down shirt, black dress pants, and a black blazer.Sifu’s modded skin scenehas been a massive part of its community longevity after launch, but this black-and-red suit is the first official skin from the developer that players will have access to. The outfit, which Sloclap awkwardly dubs the “Young Man Suit,” will also be available for the female character. However, this outfit will apparently only be the first of many, with fans' input also involved in what is added.
This outfit is onlyavailable for fans who have purchased the Deluxe Edition ofSifu, and it is unclear if it will become accessible to other players in the future. Fortunately, Sloclap has also announced that its 2022 “content update roadmap” will be shared tomorrow. Not only will fans hear more about May’s sizable content update thatSifuhas teased since February, but the concept of a roadmap also suggests information will be shared about what fans should expect for the rest of the summer and potentially even later than that.
The first content update is set to release sometime in early May, so the wait may only be a couple of weeks. Sloclap describes its new efforts as “future free content updates,” which may imply that all the updates listed on tomorrow’s content roadmap could be free for all players. The extent of these updates is undetermined at this time, such as whether expansive DLC packs will be available or if simple skin outfits are in store for players, but it is exciting nonetheless to hear more about whatSifu’s future looks like.
Sifuis available now on PC, PS4, and PS5.
