Of all the games announced at the most recent PlayStation event,Spider-Man 2is one that many are particularly excited for. With both Peter Parker and Miles Morales serving as playable characters and the promise of new villains to face off against,Spider-Man 2will likely expand on everything players enjoyed from the first two installments. Though, the arrival of one villain, in particular, introduces new suit possibilities.
The induction ofVenom inSpider-Man 2has many in the gaming community excited, but Venom’s presence in the game does present some rather unique connotations. In various depictions of theSpider-Manstory, the Venom symbiote infects Peter Parker, turing his Spider suit black and greatly affecting his personality. Now, one fan has edited theSpider-Man 2trailer to show what the symbiote suit might look like inSpider-Man 2.

A Reddit user named CyclopsWasRight7 posted a compare and contrast edit that showed what the new versionPeter Parker’s suit inSpider-Man 2might look like if it was infected by the Venom symbiote. The edit itself is quite impressive, with the black suit contrasting all of the white embellishments lining the torso, shoulder, and arms of the suit.
Right now, it’s unclear if the Venom suit will make an appearance in the game, given how limited the information surroundingSpider-Man 2is, considering that fans only have theSpider-Man 2PS5 trailerto work with. While this edit does give fans a clear idea of what a Venom suit could look like, it’s hard to know if there will be an offical Venom suit and if so, it might look different than the edit.
Then again, if the last twoSpider-Maninstallments are any indication, it seems likely that a Venom suit will make an appearance in the game, considering how much emphasis is placed on suits. Withadditional suits being added to every DLC and new version ofSpider-Man, chances are fairly high that the symbiote suit will be featured in the upcoming game in some capacity.
It will be interesting to see what direction Insomniac Games takes this newestSpider-Maninstallment. Given how manyvillains were featured inSpider-Man, it’s likely that Venom won’t be the only majorSpider-Manvillain to be making an appearance in the upcoming game. With any luck, more information regardingSpider-Man 2’snarrative and gameplay will be revealed in the coming months.
