When somebody saysSpider-Man, most people still immediately think of Peter Parker, as this version of Spider-Man was the first and also popularized by multiple live-action portrayals by Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland. However, even though Peter was the firstSpider-Man, he’s not the only one, not by a long shot.

As the Oscar-winning 2018 animated movieSpider-Man: Into the Spider-Verseproves, there are various different Spider-Men and Spider-People who deserve just as much attention as Parker. With thesequel to the movie coming in 2023, it’s almost guaranteed thatother alternate Spider-Men will appear in it, some of whom would the audience love to see.
6Lady Spider
Spider powers aren’t limited to men only, as not only Spider-Gwen but also Lady Spider prove. Her civil name is May Reilly, andshe’s none other than Aunt May- except an alternate and a younger version of Peter’s aunt. Even though she was bitten by a spider in her father’s lab, unlike Peter Parker, May Reilly didn’t get special powers.
Despite that, May built a suit for herself and became the superhero known as the Lady Spider, proving yet again that a hero doesn’t need powers to be super. Considering that the previous Spider-Men in the first movie all had special powers, it would be interesting to see someone by their side who doesn’t yet is able to keep up with them anyway. Not to mention that seeing a younger May interact with older May could also be a lot of fun for the audience.

5Aaron Aikman
Most Spider-Men gained their powers by accident and had to learn how to live with them. That’s not the case for Dr. Aaron Aikman who wanted the powers and worked hard to get them. He subjected himself to a scientific experiment and combined his own DNA with that of a spider, but it didn’t work out as Aikman imagined.

To still be able to fight crime,he built himself a mechanical suit, just like Lady Spider or other Marvel superheroes not related to Spider-Men, such as Iron Man. A scientist of Aikman’s intelligence could bring a lot of to the team, and it would bring something new to the table to see a hero who chose this path rather than coming to it by an accident.
4Spider-Woman
Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson are one of the most iconic comic book couples of all time. So much so that the readers wondered whether their children would follow in their father’s or their mother’s footsteps. Thanks to May Parker aka Spider-Woman, they already know the answer. In the universe in which Peter and MJ made it work, they had a daughter together who inherited some of Peter’s powers.
Even though Peter didn’t want his daughter to become a superhero, May did what she wanted andtook on the mantle of Spider-Girl and later Spider-Womananyway. If the second movie wants to set up a family conflict, it could potentially feature a teenager May fighting alongside by her disapproving dad Peter.

3Spider-UK
Also known underneath his civil name Billy Braddock, Spider-UK comes from Great Britain, as his superhero name suggests.Billy originally trained underneath a different superhero, Captain Britain, but once he got powers similar to Spider-Men, he decided to become one as well.
Power-wise, Spider-Man and Spider-UK are mostly on the same level, which could make for interesting rivalry in the new movie. It would also be an added bonus if the creators got any of the previous live-action British Spider-Man actors to voice the role, either Andrew Garfield or Tom Holland. This way, Peter Parker could go on to become Billy Braddock.

2Silk
Just because two people share similar powers, doesn’t mean they have similar characters as well.Cindy Moon aka Silk is a good example of that. It’s strange that she hasn’t played a bigger role in the movies so far considering she comes from the same mainstream universe as Peter Parker and was even bitten by the same spider!

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Versecould fix this and finally give Silk the attention she deserves. What’s interesting about Silk is that she actually has organic webbing and doesn’t need web shooters to swing around the city. That could be something Peter Parker could very well become envious of in the movie.
1Otto Octavius
Even thoughDr. Otto Octavius worked with the heroes in the latest live-action Spider-Man movie,Spider-Man: No Way Home(2021), he’s still primarily a villain. At one point in the comics, Octavius switched bodies with Peter Parker and went on to become the Superior Spider-Man.
Octavius' initial lack of morals as well as his high intelligence made for refreshing storylines, and seeing a Spider-Man who isn’t always such a good guy, could bring something new toSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The Superior Spider-Man could even initially be the villain before joining forces with the heroes against a mutual enemy, an even bigger threat!
