Reddit user Guard-International found an Easter egg inStarfieldfromThe Green Mile, the movie directed by Frank Darabont and released in 1999. The player found a note on a table asking for bigger handcuffs for a prisoner identified as “JC#1932” because said prisoner “is huge.” The Easter egg refers to one of thebest films starring Tom Hanks, adapting Stephen King’s book of the same name in which King tells a story set in 1932. The letters JC are the initials of John Coffey, the character played by Michael Clarke Duncan. In the movie, Coffey is a large man sentenced to death who, although accused of a terrible crime, has a docile temperament that makes him a “gentle giant.” With his success inGreen Mile, Duncan received nominations at the Oscars and Golden Globes and got work in other films such asPlanet of the Apes,Scorpion King, andDaredevil.
