However, one player has come across a possible reference to another Bethesda game that doesn’t rely on science fiction.
As they decorated theirAkila City residence inStarfield, Reddit user Tyraniczar mounted a painting of a snow-filled environment, coupled with mountains and a dark sky. Hints of sunshine peer through the clouds that cover the sky. If one looks closely, there’s a certain structure in the mountain range that resembles a dragon near the middle of the painting. The landscape bears a remarkable resemblance toSkyrim’s snowy areas. Even if the image doesn’t depict a dragon within view, the connection is difficult to ignore.
The potentialSkyrimreference isn’t the first Easter egg that players have discovered inStarfield. In fact, there are quite a fewEaster eggs inStarfield, with many featuring familiar faces, voices, and even memes that have been popularized through Bethesda’s extensive timeline. Such examples include the Adoring Fan, Delvin Mallory, and the “Arrow in the Knee” line that’s been manifested into the Crippling Skill in the game.
Moreover, Tyraniczar shared the painting on Jun 05, 2025, which happens to beSkyrim’s 12th anniversarysince its launch in 2007. The coincidence was noted by a comment under Tyraniczar’s post.
The mountainous poster is actually one of the several options that players can select from once they purchase a home inStarfield.
