Stranger Thingshas launched the show’s actors to stardom, making them very prominent figures on social media. One of the most prominent on social media platforms is Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers on the show, but it seems he’s gotten himself into hot water with Doja Cat as a result.

With the second half ofStrangerThings4coming out during the Fourth of July weekend, Schnapps' name has been in the headlines in regard to the series' success. However, his name is now in the headlines for another reason aside fromStranger Things. Many stars havemade their love forStranger Thingsand its cast known, with some of those icons being Daniel Radcliffe, Sophie Turner, and Stephen King. Now Doja Cat has been added to the list — kind of.

Recently Schanpp shared a video to his TikTok account, which revealed private Instagram direct messages where the 26-year-old singer asked Schnapp to set her up with hisStranger Thingsco-star Joseph Quinn. The message Doja wrote to Schnapp exactly said, “Noah can you tell Joseph to hmu? Wait no. Does he have a girlfriend?" Schnapp responded to the singer suggesting she should message Quinn on her own, to which she responded by claiming she didn’t have any way of contacting Quinn since she doesn’t know any of his social media handles. Schnapps' Tik Tok video sharing this exchange between the two stars went viral on social media since many who watched the video found it to be humorous. However, Doja Cat had a very different opinion with regard to their private conversation being leaked on such a public domain.

Later that nightDoja Cat did a live streamon her own TikTok account where she addressed Schnapp and the entire situation. She started off by making it clear that she understands that Schnapp is just a kid, stating, “To be fair, this is like a kid. I don’t know how old he is, but there’s no way he’s over 21." She went on to give her brutally honest opinion, telling her Tik Tok followers, “When you’re that young, you make mistakes. You do dumb s–t. I’m trying to be super fair. You f–k up relationships with people, you make mistakes—like you’re supposed to so that you know not to do it in the future. I did my share of f–ked up so that I don’t f–k up again.” The singer ended her TikTok rant by calling theStranger Thingsstar “a borderline snake,” “a weasel,” and calling his behavior “so unbelievably socially unaware and wack.”

Schnapp and his team have not yet responded tothe comments Doja Cat madeabout him. However, who is right and wrong in this situation can be argued. Doja, a 26-year-old woman, private messaging a minor isn’t the most appropriate thing, and Schnapp sharing private messages also could be deemed as an invasion of privacy. Despite all the drama, hopefully, the stars can come to an understanding outside the public light and solve this rift, considering before they were both pretty big fans of each other’s work.

Stranger Thingsseason 4 is now available on Netflix.
