The wait for news regardingGrand Theft Auto 6has been arduous for fans of the series. Rumors have been circulating for quite some time thatGTA 6’s location might be Vice City, and that may have just gotten even more likely.

There have been tons of leaks and rumors circulating aroundGrand Theft Auto 6, though many of those rumors point to the series making a return to Vice City. Now, the holding company of theGrand Theft Autofranchise, Take-Two Interactive, has registered an internet domain called GTA Vice City Online.

Long timeGTAfans knowVice Cityas the fourth overall title in theGrand Theft Autoseries, though the games have not returned to Vice City since the 2006 PSP release,Vice City Stories. However, recentrumors surroundingGTA 6point to Vice Citybeing somehow involved with the game. While Rockstar and Take-Two have been radio silent onGrand Theft Auto 6, it seems a recent domain registered by Take-Two may point to a return to Vice City.

The domain in question was found by a Reddit user going by the name of cmputerguy, and clearly spells out ‘GTA Vice City Online.’ Naturally, this has many fans speculating that the sixth entry in the series could be set in Vice City and have integrated online functionality asGrand Theft Auto 5did withGrand Theft Auto Online.Grand Theft Auto Onlineis still massively successful and still receiving majorcontent updates like the recent Summer updatesurrounding super yachts.

Of course, the originalGTA: Vice Citygame did not feature an online mode so this domain likely points to something new at the very least.GTA: Vice Cityis well over a decade old, so it would theoretically be enough time for the series to make a return to the iconic city with a new and updated spin on the overall aesthetic and design.

Themap of Vice City had secret areasand hidden gems that took fans ages to uncover and explore, which helped make it many fans' favorite setting in the series. Coming back to Vice City on next-generation hardware would be a treat.

Of course, this could simply be Take-Two trying to acquire domain’s related to theGrand Theft Autoseries. However, considering how many rumors seem to circle Vice City, it wouldn’t be out of left field forGTA 6to make a return to the iconic map in some way.Grand Theft Auto 6’srelease datehasn’t been revealed, but hopefully, Rockstar is hard at work on the series’ next major installment.
