Released to coincide withThe Walking Dead’sfinal season, Skybound Games’The Walking Dead: Survivorsis a mobile game that brings together charactersfrom across the entireWalking Deadfranchise. Players build bases, gather resources, recruit survivors, and survive attacks from zombie hordes and Negan’s Saviors.
The Walking Dead: Survivorshas been doing well for itself, despite the recent advertising controversy where aWalking Dead: Survivorsad allegedly plagiarizedResident Evil 2art. The game had 1.5 million players registered before launch, and that number has only grown. A healthy player base is good for both the developers and the players. After all, in a zombie apocalypse, survivors should work together.

Players can band together to join Clans, and these offer an array of benefits. Clan members can send resources and reinforcements to each other. They can speed up each other’s building and healing timers. Some events are only available if a player is in an active clan, such as the “Tides of The Dead” event. And even aside from in-game benefits, clans offer a way for players to be social, sending messages back and forth.
But asThe Walking Deadhas repeatedly shown, not every group is meant to last. Whether it be bad luck, betrayal, or anupcomingThe Walking Deadmovie, sometimes people have to leave. That aspect is true here as well.
There are multiple reasons why a player might want to leave a clan. Maybe they want to start their own clan with friends. Maybe their current clan is too small. Maybe too many players in their clan are inactive. Maybe they just don’t like how their current clan members interact and want to find a more sociable group.
Thankfully, Skybound Games made leaving a clan as easy as joining one.To leave, click the “settings” button on the top right of the clan page, right beneath the “letters” button. From there, click the “leave clan” button, marked with a red crossed-out circle. A warning will pop up, asking the player if they’re sure they want to leave. If they say yes, they instantly leave the clan.
The Walking Dead: Survivorsfaces some stiff competition, not just from other mobile games, but other gameswithinThe Walking Deadfranchise. While it’s not as flashy as new game modes, simple features like easy-to-navigate menus do a lot to retain an audience. At least here, Skybound Games hit that aspect out of the park.
The Walking Dead: Survivorsis now available for Android and iOS.
