Netflix revealed brand new footage forThe Witcher’ssecond season as part of the company’s big “Tudum” event and that includes teasers that give a sneak peek at Vesemir, Nivellen, and all the other characters from season one.

The newWitchertrailers include the first shots of Kaer Morhen, where Geralt of Rivia is currently takingCiri for her much-needed Witcher training, tons of new monsters, and a brief glimpse at just what happened to Yennefer and Jaskier after parting ways with the White Wolf. However, all of this came with confirmation thatThe Witcherwill get a third season, another anime film, more about theBlood Originprequel, and a family-friendlyThe Witchershow that would make it onto Netflix’s Kids section.

In the full trailer dubbed “Road to Season 2”, fans are treated to a mixture of scenes from season one and new footage, with Geralt and Ciri finally making their way to a snowy Kaer Morhen being the biggest highlight that will remind many ofThe Witcher 3’sopening sequence. Nevertheless, the big reveal here is the first shot of actor Kim Bodnia as Vesemir, who looks rather pleased to see Geralt come back to Kaer Morhen, even if he seems quite skeptical of who Ciri is and why she’s in such grave danger.

The dialogue has Geralt deliver one of his signature lines, “Evil is evil. Lesser. Greater. Middling. It’s all the same.”, but also possiblytelling his mentor and adoptive father Vesemirthat it was Yennefer who caused him to reconsider his outlook on life. Speaking of which, the beautiful Yenneferappears to have been captured by her sorceress colleague Fringilla, though another shot featuring the two suggest that both of them suffer the same fate, maybe being kidnapped by elves since season two is set to explore more of the Blood of Elves novel; a theory boosted by the brief shot that shows another Golden Dragon that could or could not be Geralt’s friend from season one, Borch Three Jackdaws.

Of course, that’s not all as the other first look clips feature Geralt’s good friend Nivellen, a cursed beast-like man played by Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones), who doesn’t back down when confronting Geralt about what he’s hiding from Ciri regarding the Witcher rituals. The other clip hardly has any introductions to make since it’s Geralt and Ciri, but it does appear to show the two sleeping over at a lonely location before getting to the Witcher basecamp.

WithThe Witcher’ssecond season just under 3 months away, Netflix probably has time for one more full trailer before the big premiere, after all the company continues to raise its already large bets on Andrzej Sapkowski’s stories.

The Witcherseason two is coming to Netflix on June 11, 2025.
