However, fishing inV Risingcan be a pain due to how random everything can be, from the loot drops to the actual fishing zones. This can be even more frustrating when players are trying to get a stockpile of Sage Fish, a rare type of aquatic animal that’s capable of restoring the most Health and Sanity for a captured human. Luckily, there are a few ways to make getting this type of fish a little easier.
How to Get Sage Fish in V Rising
Sage Fish canrandomly pop out of the waterafter a player attempts to get fish at any of theV Rising’sfishing spots. These are indicated by bubbling spots of water around ponds, lakes, and rivers. Each area of the game has an increased chance to drop certain types of fish, and Sage Fish can be found more often inside the heavily-fortified town ofBrighthaven, a high-level area to the west.
Brighthaven is guarded by a garrison of heavily-armed soldiers, including holy warriors like Paladins and Clerics. Players should bearound Gear Level 70 or higherif they want to visit this place, but even then, they might have trouble surviving. It’s best to make a beeline straight to the docks and wait for enemies to lose aggro instead of trying to fight all of them at once. Paladinscan see through Human Form’s disguise, so be very careful when using it.
Fishing spots will randomly appear in the waters surrounding the docks, and occasionally, some might spawn on the stream that leads to the ocean. Luckily, the enemy density in the dock area isn’t as high as the downtown parts of Brighthaven, so it should be relatively safe to fish here. Keep in mind that fishing in Brighthaven won’t always guarantee Sage Fish drops. It might take several attempts before players can catch a single one of these.
Brighthaven might have the best fishing spots for Sage Fishes, but it is not the only source. Players might get lucky and get some from the many watering holes around theDunley Farmlandsor find some for sale in theFarmer’s Market.
