Helicopters make great transportation for fans trying to traverse the map inCall of Duty: Warzone.They also make great targets for anyone with a sniper rifle, crossbow, RPG, or really any ranged weapon, as players love to potshot at escaping vehicles. While most shots miss, every so often, aWarzonefan can get lucky and hit their mark.
Although longshots are impressive, this fan has taken the process up a notch. Rather than trying to take them down with any ranged weapon, they instead scoped in a killstreak and aimed right for theescapingWarzonehelicopter.

The video starts with Reddit fan kiddj55 watching a helicopter fly off into the distance. Zooming in with their airstrike, they attempt to lock onto the moving target, but every attempt to lock fails. After observing where the helicopter is headed, they come up with a slightly different plan. Lining up the helicopter’s travel plan with the roof of the prison, this fan calls in an airstrike onto the prison itself, hoping tocatch theWarzonehelicopter in the crossfire. In the distance, players can see the helicopter landing before the airstrike impacts it and causes an instant death with the kill confirmed text appearing on the right side of kiddj55’s screen. While kiddj55 is too far away from the site for the explosion itself to render, there is no doubt that the enemy experienced a sudden burst of bright fireworks after the airstrike hit its target.
Based on the distance that was last read by the killstreak’s scope, thehelicopter was roughly 500 meters away. The location in the prison that the player chose to airstrike sat roughly 600 meters away meaning the helicopter had no warning or notification that an airstrike was about to rain upon them.
Players in the comments congratulate the player for taking their time and hitting the helicopter all in one shot. There are subtle pauses throughout the video, as players can almost see kiddj55 thinking about the shot and weighing out the right place to target. All those calculations came through, though, as there was adirect hit at an insane distance.
This is not the traditional use of airstrikes, but it got the job done. Manymembers of theWarzonecommunitylove to see alternative uses for common equipment and this clip fits the bill. As more fans witness this amazing shot there is a higher chance that someone may try to mimic the entire experience, so helicopter fans beware.
