One of the most popular types of Pokemon is the dragon-type with plenty of Pokemon falling under this type inPokemon GO. So far in the main series ofPokemontitles, there are 72 total dragon-types out there. WhilePokemon GOhasn’t caught up to the main games yet, there’s still a lot to catch.
Pure dragon-types only have three weaknesses, with those being ice, dragon, andfairy moves. They are however resistant toward fire, water, electric, and grass moves, making them useful in many battles.

What somePokemon GOplayers may not realize when hunting Pokemon is how certain types of Pokemon have higher spawn rates in certain locations. Players wanting to catch Pokemon of specific types need to travel to places where they’d want to live.
Fordragon-type Pokemon, players don’t need to worry about venturing into the clouds, abandoned castles, or caves filled with gold. The most common locations for dragon-types may be closer than many players expect.
The most common locations for dragon-type Pokemon to spawn are golf courses and landmarks. Landmarks can be famous bridges or tourist destinations. Places where lots of people gather or places that have a lot of historical value are well loved by dragon Pokemon. They may also enjoy the golf courses due to the sprawling hills and plenty of lost golf balls to hoard.
Certain Pokemon types also spawn more often when they have theweather boost effect. This means that the current weather is making the Pokemon more powerful. The weather boost effect for dragon-types is sunny/clear weather. Sunny or clear weather usually means a good day for hunting Pokemon anyway, so players should take advantage of it while remaining safe.
Many legendary Pokemon that can be caught in raids are also dragon-types. This includes Giratina, which is currently listed as anS tier Pokemon in the Ultra Leaguecurrently. Legendary raids usually require multiple players to beat, but players have recently gained access to remote raid passes that allow them to participate in raids while not having to come in person.
