Summary
ManyMists of Pandariaraids inWorld of Warcraftwill now have a daily lockout rather than a weekly one, with the change affecting bothDragonflightand Remix characters. When Mists of Pandaria Remix was announced, it was met positively by theWorld of Warcraftcommunity, as the event is designed to let players have fun, collect cosmetics, and experienceMists of Pandariacontent with their friends once again. It will run from Jun 27, 2025, until August 04, 2025.
Theformat of Mists of Pandaria Remix is simple: players can create a timerunning character locked toMists of Pandariacontent, where scaling will take them all the way to Level 70. On top of being able to experience the expansion and its raids, these timerunning characters will also be awarded the Cloak of Infinite Potential, and will be locked to a special version of Pandaria that they won’t be able to leave.

However, given thatWorld of Warcraftraidstraditionally have a weekly reset,Blizzard has decided to make an important concessionfor the duration of the Remix. The fiveMists of Pandariainstanced raids will have a daily reset for bothDragonflightand Remix characters, making transmogrification farming a lot easier. Every raid boss drops a significant amount of Bronze, the primary currency introduced for Mists of Pandaria Remix, and a daily reset will allow players to accumulate Bronze at a much faster pace.
This change has received praise fromWorld of Warcraftplayers on both the official forums and across social media platforms such as Reddit. Given that it will require nearly 400,000 bronze to collect allWorld of Warcraftmountsin the Mists of Pandaria Remix event, it could be argued that the concession was necessary. However, it also introduced an interesting possibility for Blizzard to consider.
Older instanced content inWorld of Warcrafthas no value beyond collecting outfits, tier sets, and rare mounts. Whereas gating gear progression for theWar Withinexpansion makes sense, placing raids from earlier expansions (such asLegion) onto a daily reset would make the process of collecting item appearances a lot more appealing. Given thatWarbands inWorld of Warcraftwill allow players to unlock transmogrification options even if they can’t equip it on their current character, it implies that Blizzard is willing to listen to fans when it comes to making fashion and cosmetics more accessible.
An important change that will also come with the newWorld of Warcraftupdate concernsBattle for Azerothraids, as Blizzard will also make certain boss encounters doable with smaller groups. The changes will become live on May 16, when Mists of Pandaria Remix opens its door to players.
