In the final chapter, Nozdormu leads Emberthal into the depths of her own memory so he can view a moment in time beyond his knowledge. Together, the two bear witness to the origins of the Dracthyr, including Neltharion’s use of an ancient Titan artifact to control and unify them. Razageth, one of the Primal Incarnates and the final boss ofDragonflight’sfirst raid, attacks the Dracthyr, destroying the artifact and releasing the fallen Aspect’s control over them.Neltharion then taps into the power of the Old Godsto imprison the Primal Incarnate before sealing away the Dracthyr, as they could no longer be controlled. Despite the shock from seeing her general’s betrayal, the cinematic ends on a positive note, with Nozdormu assuring Emberthal the future of the Dracthyr is theirs to write.

TheDragonflight Legaciesshorts wrapped up just a week before thenext phase of theDragonflightPre-Patch. Once it is live, players who have purchasedDragonflightcan make Dracthyr characters and play through their unique starting experience on the Forbidden Reach. In this area, players will see the rousing of the Dracthyr first hand, meet Emberthal and the other Scalecommanders, and get a taste of the threat represented by Razageth and her Primalists.

World of Warcraftfans love the animated shorts that accompany its expansions, andDragonflight Legacieswas no exception. Seeing how the shadow Deathwing cast upon all of dragonkind, including the Dracthyr, has affected the major cast ofDragonflighthas provided valuable insight into their characters and motivations.

Of course, this final installment raised almost as many questions as it rose. Players are wondering what the gauntlet-like Titan artifact Neltharion used was, and why its power seemed so similar to the Jailer’s Domination magic. Others are suspicious of Nozdormu in the series, wondering if his cryptic hints are evidence he is falling to corruption and becoming Murozond, lord of the Infinite Dragonflight.World of WarcraftPlayers will not have to wait long tosee if these questions are answered inDragonflight.
