Xbox’s Games with Goldprogram has been in an odd place for some time now, as many believe it’s going to be faded out eventually. Microsoft recently announced thatGames with Gold will drop Xbox 360 gameslater this year, and that may be one step forward for it. After all, it doesn’t seem fans are ever happy with the Xbox Games with Gold selection, and it’s overshadowed by the constant updates to Xbox Game Pass.
Nonetheless, the Xbox Games with Gold program marches forward. Microsoft has officially unveiled four games coming in August to replace theGames with Gold currently available until July 31. Fans should make sure they are aware of the specific dates for how long each title will be available.

Xbox Games with Gold August 2022 List
Calicois an interesting addition to Games with Gold, if specifically for its timing.Calicois a community simulation game where players are tasked with rebuilding the town’s cat cafe, complete with adorable felines to boot. Players are able to add furniture and decorations, cook pastries, and get it bustling with animals. While theviral cat gameStrayis exclusive to PS4/PS5 consoles, as well as PC, this ensures that Xbox fans can get a gree cat game too, if in a different vein.
ScourgeBringeris also another solid addition, especially for fans ofNeuroVoider. From the same developer,ScourgeBringeris a fast-paced free-moving rogue-lite platform where players must face ancient machines and hopefully redeem humanity. The first Xbox 360 game isSaints Row 2, which has equally good timing. Fans of the franchise will be able to check out this more-grounded gang story ahead of theSaints Rowreboot launch later in August. It’s more grounded than later entries in the franchise, but perhaps not as much asSaints Row 2. It’ll be a good comparison, though, if fans play it ahead of the reboot.
Monaco: What’s Yours is Minewill followSaints Row 2and is a 2013 stealth and action game about pulling off the perfect heist. Players will be able to do so in single-player or as a co-op heist game, where they assemble a team of thieves, case the joint, and pull off the robbery. Overall, it’s a pretty solid line-up forXbox Games with Gold.
