Summary
The world ofThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomcan be full of dangers, but one player has found a clever workaround that might just make adventuring easier.Glitches inTears of the Kingdomcan range from hilarious to terrifying, but some can be leveraged to the advantage of the player.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomand its predecessorBreath of the Wildare both rather complex games. Aside from boasting massive, detailed open worlds, each game has a wealth of options for discovery and exploration–options that can become even deeper with the inclusion of advanced physics and elemental systems. Players can make these systems work in their favor by, for instance, using fire to lift a hot air balloon as part of a contraption, but they will just as often serve as threats. When players encounter inhospitable climates or dangerous environments, they sometimes need to think outside the box for solutions.

TOTKplayers are constantly discoveringnew things about the game, and that doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. YouTube channel Gaming Reinvented recently shared a video showcasing a useful glitch that can get players out of trouble when in unbearably hot caves. According to the video, if a player finds themselves in one of these caves, they can simply watch a saved memory (flashback cutscenes collected throughout the game), and the cave temperature will be disabled. Gaming Reinvented notes that there are some hiccups, such as the temperature resetting when a player opens a chest, but the process can be repeated at any point.
This glitch certainly poses an easier solution than buildingmassive contraptions inTOTKor scouring the world for high-level gear, but it might not be utilized by all players. The variable environments of the game, and all the hazards that come along with that, are part of the experience, and using a glitch to work around the system can break immersion for some, or simply makeTears of the Kingdomtoo easy. On the other hand, it could be quite useful for players completing special challenges, speedruns, or subsequent playthroughs.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdommight not be the most challenging game on the market, but it still has plenty of danger to encounter, both environmental and intelligent. For players who want to overcomesome ofTOTK’s biggest challengesas efficiently as possible, then glitches and exploits like this one can be useful tools in their kit.
