Link’s new powers let him craft virtually anything inThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and now a player has built a nice mobile home for the hero of Hyrule to hang his Master Sword in. Some of the most exciting features to be introduced in the latestLegend of Zeldagame arethe Ultrahand and Fuse abilities, which enable Link to levitate, move, and combine various resources into creative weapons and vehicles to help in his quest to save Hyrule from the evil Ganondorf once again.
While this quest only really requires Link to craft basic rafts and hovercrafts with his newfound skills, players have taken full advantage of Ultrahand and Fuse to create all manner of fun vehicles, buildings, and items to either get around the open world of Hyrule easier or have some morbid fun at a Korok’s expense. Examples of this creativity include working catapults, hovercraft, combat mechs, and even aHyrule-themed version of a Podracer fromStar Wars. Others have usedTears of the Kingdom’s crafting mechanics to build shelters for NPCs and dwellings for Link to retreat to when he isn’t off exploring.

Meanwhile, Reddit user StllBreathnButY1 decided to let Link take the dwelling with him by building an impressive mobile home. As shown in a clip they posted to r/tearsofthekingdomearlier this week, StllBreathnButY1’s humble abode can be pulled along by Link’s trusty horse and features a cozy bed and a few torches for light and comfort. A Korok can even be seen relaxing as Link pulls his home along, a noted contrast to how theleafy beings are often tortured or imprisonedby mischievousTears of the Kingdomplayers.
Many have praisedThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomfor the freedom it grants players in exploring the game’s open world or piecing together new vehicles, which has helped it become one of the biggest-selling releases of 2023 so far. Producer Eiji Aonuma has suggested thatTears of the Kingdom’s free-form gameplay could become the standard for futureZeldagames, including apotentialTears of the Kingdomsequelthat is rumored to be in the planning stages already.
In the meantime, players are still coming up with new and exciting things to build usingThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s impressive crafting mechanics. StllBreathnButY1’s mobile home is a fine example of this, and might just be one of the most practical things for Link to build in-universe. After all, having a sturdy roof over his head wherever his quest might take him would certainly come in handy after a long day of defeating monsters and completing sidequests in the latest open-worldZeldaepic.
